A Tribute

Dale Earnhardt

#3 - The Intimidator
Remembering a man who defined his sport
One of the Greatest Nascar Drivers Ever!!!

Dale gave everything he had to the sport that he loved so dearly and we (his fans) appreciated everything he did for advancing the sport of Nascar racing.  Gone but never forgotten.  Dale was a man who defined his sport and he will be greatly missed.

My greatest memory of Dale occurred in a 2000 IROC race when Jr. had passed his Dad on the final lap, then coming out of turn 4, Dale Sr. dove down from high on the banking to the inside of the track passing Jr. at the finish in one of the closest IROC finishes ever.  It was truly the autograph and trademark of his racing career.

A second and almost equal memory is Dale's drive through the pits on his way to victory lane after winning the '98 Daytona 500, the outpouring of congratulations by the competitors' crews was a testimony to the man he was.

One of Dale's Fans,
